Acceptable Donations

We accept:	We don’t accept:
Lumber and Trim	Asbestos-containing materials; floor tiles, old drop ceiling, some old light fixtures.
Four foot (4') minimum length & in usable condition.	Baseboard heaters.
Lumber with nails accepted at staff discretion (must be de-nailed enough for safe handling).	Batteries.
Lumber with infestations, dry rot, mold, or excessive paint peeling will not be accepted.	Clothing.
Miscellaneous	Cloth drapes.
Appliances less than 5 years old. Must be clean and in good working condition (accepted only at store and at staff discretion).	Florescent light bulbs & fixtures, unless ballast marked “No PCB’s”.
Drapery hardware. No cloth drapes please.	Lumber & trim with infestations, dry rot, or excessive paint peeling.
Furnaces less than 5 years old and in working condition.	Oil tanks.
Hardware and tools.	Paint without labels (cans must be 3/4 full). No oil based paint or rusty cans.
Sheet goods (1/2 sheets OK). No warped or moisture damaged pieces.	Thermostats containing mercury.
Sheetrock (1/2 sheets OK).	Toxic or flammable products.
Used paint: must be latex, labeled, and liquid.	Unframed glass larger than 9 sq. ft.
Vinyl flooring, floor and wall tile.	Containers with unknown contents.
Woodstoves made post-1986 and Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) certified.	NOTICE Containers with unknown contents should be taken to a hazard waste disposal site.

Sinks, Toilets, and Tubs
Must be clean and free of chips, cracks, severe stains, or deep scratches.
Vintage sinks, toilets, and claw foot tubs accepted in any restorable condition.
Odd colors accepted at staff discretion.
Complete toilets only.
Toilets must be clean with no broken parts.
Windows
Double-pane vinyl, wood, aluminum with seals in tact (fogged or broken seals not accepted).
Fixed-pane wood frame windows.
Multi-Pane wood frame windows.
Single-pane windows under 10 sq. ft. (accepted at staff discretion).
